Singleton’s St. Louis Wedding Photography by Roland Studios Photography

St. Louis wedding photographers Anna and Matt Roland of Roland Studios Photography recently shot the St. Louis wedding photography for Brett and Jen Singleton. Roland Studios Photography built a strong relationship with Brett and Jen from the initial consultation all the way through the wedding and it still continues today!

Roland Studios Photography worked closely with Jen throughout her planning process to help mold her special day and ensure it turned out perfectly when it came to her St. Louis wedding photography. Jen wanted assistance with her exit from the church, so we helped her brainstorm all kinds of ideas for her exit that would look amazing in her pictures. Jen really wanted to have a balloon release for her exit, but was too afraid of the implications on the environment it would have for so many balloons to be released. She instead went with bubbles, but the balloons gave Anna an idea. Jen had also put a lot of balloon pictures on her Pinterest page, so Anna wanted to create some stunning images using balloons for Jen’s St. Louis wedding photography.

Anna then decided to get the largest balloons on the face of the Earth!!! She went to Party City and got balloons so large that we could only fit four in our minivan, but that turned out perfectly for the small wedding party. Jen was so surprised when Anna opened the door and showed her the balloons.

Roland Studios Photography started our St. Louis wedding photography day at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel with the bride and groom to get their getting ready pictures and some quick group shots. Then we made our way to the Messiah Lutheran Church for some before pictures there and then shot the ceremony.

Then the fun began after the ceremony heading over to the fountain area of Tower Grove Park to play with the balloons. We started the St. Louis wedding photography with bridal shots, then the bride and groom before finishing with shots of the bridal party. They turned out just how we wanted them too for Jen and Brett!!!

After the shots at Tower Grove Park, we did a few more bride and groom shots at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel before heading up for the reception. During the reception, we were able to sneak the bride and groom out on the terrace for some more amazing shots overlooking Forest Park, before finishing the St. Louis wedding photography with shots of them leaving in the elevator.

Here are some shots from their day for you to enjoy!

Litz’s St. Louis Wedding Photography by Roland Studios Photography

Anna and Matt Roland of Roland Studios Photography recently had a unique opportunity to photograph the St. Louis wedding photography of a mother of a bride we had recently worked with on her St. Louis wedding photography. After photographing her daughter’s wedding in March of this year, Nancy was so impressed by our work that she contacted us about shooting her upcoming wedding to Rob in June of this year.

We had such a great time with her daughter’s wedding and enjoyed the family so much, that it was an easy decision to say yes to this wedding! The format of the wedding would be identical to her daughter’s wedding just a few months before. The ceremony and the reception would take place at Temple Israel in Creve Coeur, MO.

Upon arriving at Temple Israel, we immediately began organizing the St. Louis wedding photography formal pictures. Unfortunately due to the weather that day, we were forced to take pictures inside instead of out in the beautiful garden that was right outside the front door. We had taken some amazing photographs there for her daughter’s wedding and now the garden had filled out with flowers and bushes and looked absolutely amazing. The issue was it was pouring rain at the time of the pictures, and we didn’t want to risk ruining the bridal party’s hard work getting ready for some pictures, so we made due with shots inside.

Once we were done with formals, the wedding day began with the signing of the ketubah. This was a little different than her daughter’s ceremony as the ketubah signing was a public event open to all guests, while her daughter’s was more formal and only open to family. There were cocktails and horderves served while watchers on witnessed the signing of the Jewish marriage certificate.

When this was complete everyone made their way back to the sanctuary for the start of the wedding ceremony. It was an entertaining ceremony filled with hugs, laughter and even at one point Nancy even stopped the ceremony to address the crowd.

After the ceremony was over, the reception began with another amazing dinner from the staff at Temple Israel. Then there were plenty of heart-felt speeches followed by dancing into the late night. It was another amazing time with this family, and we thank Rob and Nancy for allowing us to share in their special day!

St. Louis Wedding Photographers for Destination Weddings and Engagement Sessions

We recently returned from our “workcation” trip to Grand Cayman Island. This was an amazing journey to an even more amazing destination! We have never been to a more beautiful place filled with the most welcoming people on the planet. We left St. Louis and had a quick stop over in North Carolina then off to our destination in Grand Cayman. It was a quick 3 hour flight from North Carolina to Grand Cayman Island, and when we left St. Louis everyone was bundled up because it was chilly, but when we arrived in Grand Cayman we were all shedding clothes as the weather was a balmy 80˚!

Driving was a challenge in Grand Cayman Island because they drive on the “wrong” side of the road! That took a little getting used too, but as the stay wore on it got a lot easier. We had a nice tour of the island as the airport was on the southwest side of the island and our  resort was located on the northeast side of the island, so we got to see almost all of the island on this one drive alone. We arrived at the Morrit’s Tortuga Club & Resort and were blown away at the scenery we were greeted with. It was breathtaking looking right out at the ocean and coral reefs right off the beach teeming with sea life! We unpacked straight away and then made our way right down to the beach to spend the rest of the day basking in the warm sun, swimming in the crystal clear waters and playing in the sand.

Surprisingly over the next couple of days we were able to actually get some work done despite the lure of the beach and ocean! Being the diligent St. Louis wedding photographers we are, there was plenty of work to be done. We had recently shot a wedding, so we thousands of images to sort through, cull and edit to perfection! We could think of no better location to do this in than paradise.

We did set aside some time for fun and to enjoy the sites of the island. We were able to check out the family friendly beaches of Rum Point, did some shopping in the capital of Georgetown, snorkeled off of beaches like cemetary beach and seven mile beach, got to hold baby sea turtles at the Turtle Farm and even swam with stingrays at the world famous Stingray City. The entire family enjoyed roaming the island and seeing the sites. The one main road that encircles the island runs right along the coast, so travelling anywhere on the island is a visual treat! The food was another reason to stay on the island from the fresh seafood caught daily, to the various versions of jerk pork and chicken it was an amazing fare each and everyday!

One of the main reaons for our trip though was to begin offering St. Louis wedding photographers services on the island. We are making ourselves, Anna and Matt Roland St. Louis wedding photographers, available to photograph anyone’s destination wedding or engagement session in the beautiful Grand Cayman Island. The resort we stayed at even offered Morrit’s Tortuga Club & Resort weddings if you are wondering about were to start with planning. It was an amazing time, and we are looking forward to our next trip back! So stay tuned so you can plan your engagement session or let us know you are interested in a destination wedding or engagement session there and we can start planning ourselves!!!

Thank You,

Anna & Matt Roland of Roland Studios Photography
